At Cape Cobra Leathercraft, each product is a reflection of timeless craftsmanship and premium materials. To preserve these high standards, our returns and exchange policy is designed to be transparent, respectful of our artisanal process, and fully aligned with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), 2008.
When Refunds Are Considered
We only offer refunds on defective items, as required by law. We are unable to accept refunds or returns for non-defective items, including:
- A change of mind
- Incorrect product selection (style, size, or colour)
- Gifts
- Personalized, monogrammed, or made-to-order items
We encourage you to carefully review all product information, sizing, and customization details before purchasing. Our team is always available to assist with product queries before checkout.
Please note that all of our bags are custom-made according to your specifications (choice of hardware and material). Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c)), the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to personalized or made-to-order goods. This means that once your order has been confirmed, we cannot accept cancellations, returns, or refunds, except in the case of manufacturing defects or damage during delivery.
We Stand by Our Craft - Exchanges for Defective Products
If you believe your item has a manufacturing defect, you're welcome to reach out to us within 6 months of purchase, in accordance with your rights under the CPA.
Once the product is assessed and confirmed to be defective, we’ll gladly arrange an exchange or repair.
To be eligible:
- The issue must be a verifiable manufacturing fault
- The item must be returned with proof of purchase, in clean and original condition
- Issues caused by wear and tear, misuse, improper care, or unauthorised alterations are not covered.
All returned items undergo a thorough quality inspection to confirm eligibility.
Your Warranty Coverage
We’re proud to stand behind our products: All products include a 6-month warranty for manufacturing defects under the CPA.
Made Just for You
Personalised, monogrammed, or custom-made items are handcrafted specifically for you and are not eligible for return or exchange, unless found to have a verifiable manufacturing defect.
Sale Items
Products purchased during a sale or promotion are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or refund.
